Krafty Productions is a dynamic powerhouse of communications content. Led by producer Verity Mackintosh, Krafty Productions works across feature film, short films, factual TV, photography, campaigns, VR, events and installations.
Born and bred in Ōtepoti Dunedin, now calls Muritai in Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai, (Lower Hutt), home. Verity graduated from Aoraki Polytechnic television school in 2003. Today, she has over 20 years of experience in the film and television industry working across Aotearoa New Zealand, Taiwan and China. Krafty Productions feature projects include the award-winning short films PUREA (2020), WASHDAY (2021) and MINISTRY of JINGLE (2023). Mini series PUHIKURA (2022) and debut Feature Film KŌKĀ which is due for release in June 2025 and hot on its heels is JOY FULL & FINAL due for release in July 2025.
Alongside the New Zealand Police and the New Zealand Film Commission, New Zealand on Air, Krafty Productions has worked closely with Radio New Zealand, Whakaata Māori, Double Denim, Flying Saucer Films, Awa Films, Wrestler, Māoriland, Creative New Zealand, the Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of the Arts on campaigns with an internationally recognised programme featuring prominent artists such as Lisa Reihana.
Krafty Productions is founded on a deep appreciation for the environment, cultural experiences, and the pursuit of finding new creative ways to share engaging stories.
Through our work with Indigenous filmmakers, storytellers and directors, Krafty Productions seeks to honour Te Tiriti through active protection, meaningful partnerships and operating within kaupapa Māori, and Tikanga frameworks led by tangata whenua.
